County Seat: Boulder Population: 278,568 Location: North Central
Boulder County is located in north Colorado just north and west of the Denver metropolitan area. The city of Boulder, home of the University of Colorado, is the county seat. The western side of the county is quite mountainous with the Continental Divide as its border. Besides Boulder, the town of Longmont, Ward, Eldora, Nederland, Lyons, Longmont, Lafayette, Niwot, Eldorado Springs and Louisville are all within county limits.
