The City and County of Denver is the capitol of the state in north central Colorado. Located on the front range, Denver County has scenic views of the Rocky Mountains to the west. Home of the state government, Colorado's economic and cultural "heart" is based in Denver. Some of it's most popular attractions include the Denver Zoo, Denver Botanic Gardens, the 16th Street Mall (in downtown Denver) and the Denver Art Museum. Denver is also home to four professional sports teams: Colorado Rockies (MLB), Denver Broncos (NFL), Denver Nuggets (NBA) and Colorado Avalance (NHL).
