Douglas County is located on Colorado's front range.
The northern regions are usually considered south Denver suburbs with the remainder of the county based in agriculture and ranching.
Castle Rock is its largest city and county seat. Other towns within
county limits include Franktown, Larkspur, Parker, Sedalia and Deckers. The county is home of Castlewood Canyon State Park (photo above), Devil's Head Fire Lookout Tower and it's fly-fishing opportunities on the South Platte River, which is the county's natural western border.
